Matariki 2024

What an incredible day of learning, celebrating, remembering and acknowledging as our school and families celebrated Matariki.

Our day started at Rarangi beach with Kapa Haka group performing for us, time to sit and view the morning sky, time to gather and remember the past and plan for the future.  We then returned to school for a yummy cooked breakfast.  A huge thank you to Jeff & Sharee Luttrell, franchise managers of The Local Butcher, Riverlands, who kindly donated the sausages and bacon.  The donation was gratefully received and I know there were many compliments about the food.  Thank you.

Follow kai, we had a full morning creating and making Matariki art related things.  We allowed a time to come together to share the works.

Thank you to all staff for the extra planning you all did to ensure our students remember Matariki 2024 as one of the many life long learning.

What a wonderful lead up to the long weekend.
