On Thursday 12 and Friday 13 September Marlborough had up to 80 Y7/8 mountain bike riders come together to compete in XC (cross country) and Enduro. We had competitors come from Nelson, Blenheim and Kaikoura.
We were entertained with a very fit and very skilled group of cyclists who gave everything. It is always great to see the new friendships form and kids carry out conversation about the event and the level of challenge.
A big congratulations to Ollie B who won the Y7 XC event. Also I acknowledge Aidan C for receiving a camel pack, which was kindly donated by a Marlborough Mountain Bike Club member. Aidan was recognised for his determination, sportsmanship and respect to all. Well done Aidan.
