Week 4 of Term 1 we farewelled all Y5-8 to school camp. Y5 - Y6 headed to Bridge Valley and Y7 - Y8 to Lake Rotoiti.
During my visit to the camps on Thursday I was fortunate to see all students engaged in fun learning, experiencing things for the first time, and challenging themselves to give things a go for the first time. How timely to have such camps that reiterated our three school values; respect, resilience and resourceful.
A big thank you to the wonderful team of staff who organised, led and supported all students to have the best time. Partnering the staff were an outstanding accommodating team of parents who helped out in every way. Thank you to our parents for giving up your own time to be with our kids.
The memories we hold from camps are with us for life and I know that is definitely at the forefront when staff identify what experiences are best for our students.
Please see a great mix of photos from the two different camps and the vast experiences eg. laser tag, drift bikes, water time, rock climbing, paddle boarding, flying kiwi and nature gardens.
