Five Renwick School students represented Marlborough cricket over the summer — including the first ever Marlborough Girls Rep team to attend the Christchurch tournament!
Over the Christmas break, Renwick School had five students — two current students and three now heading into Year 9 — selected as Year 8s to represent Marlborough across three Primary School Cricket Festivals. What an incredible achievement!
A big congratulations to all involved:
Lachie Cooney travelled to Christchurch to play for the Marlborough Yellow team, who finished 4th with two great wins and a close final game.
Blake Nation captained the Marlborough Maroon team in Ashburton — a team that finished top of the tournament table after four stellar wins. Outstanding leadership!
Jemima Nation and Charlotte Brooke-Taylor co-captained the Marlborough Girls team in Christchurch, joined by Amelia Campbell — part of the first ever Marlborough Girls Rep team to attend the tournament. The girls celebrated two solid wins against Canterbury teams, finishing 6th — a historic result.
