GETTING STArted
Starting at Renwick School
We’d love to welcome your family to Renwick School. Here’s everything you need to know about enrolling and settling in.
Enrolments
Contact the office in the first instance and we’ll walk you through the process. You’ll be directed to complete our online enrolment form. If you have any questions, call us on 03 572 8158.
New entrants
If your child is approaching school age, contact us at any time to get them on our enrolment list. Enrolment forms should be completed within six months of their fifth birthday. You’ll also need to provide a copy of your child’s birth certificate or passport, and a current immunisation certificate.
From 2027, Renwick School will move to a Cohort Entry system, enrolling new entrants twice per term. Children will start school as a group at the beginning or midpoint of a term, after their fifth birthday. We’ll arrange a meeting with their teacher and organise school visits ahead of their cohort’s start date.
Why cohort entry?
- Allows students to settle quickly into school life
- Evidence shows starting alongside peers helps foster relationships and supports a smoother transition
- Reduces disruption for class teachers, enabling better planning and a more beneficial transition programme
