Renwick School’s junior classrooms are buzzing with play-based learning — from birthday cakes and volcanoes to PMP gear — all centred around the theme of festivals and celebrations.
Renwick School’s junior school is currently exploring the theme of festivals and celebrations — what they mean to us and how they can spark new learning and curiosity.
The classrooms have been alive with wonderful activity: students making birthday cakes, working with PMP gear to support coordination and brain development, and one standout moment — a student-led volcano experiment that perfectly captured the joy of child-directed learning.
It’s a wonderful reminder of just how powerful play-based learning can be when students are engaged, curious, and driving their own discoveries.
