Fern the falcon came to Renwick School to collect the $616.60 raised by Māia Whānau — and thanks to their incredible fundraising, the group is now eligible to sponsor a falcon of their own!
Following their wildly successful Crazy Hair Day fundraiser, Māia Whānau had a very special visit today — Fern the falcon arrived at school alongside Lizzie and Diana to collect the $616.60 raised in support of the Falcon Trust.
The students were an incredible audience, welcoming their guests by singing a waiata for Fern and proudly sharing the facts they had learned about the kārearea and the story behind their Crazy Hair Day fundraiser.
The best news of all? Because the group raised so much, they are now eligible to sponsor a falcon of their very own — what an incredible outcome!
