Our school community gathered before dawn at Rarangi Beach for a beautiful Matariki celebration, taking in a clear view of the Matariki cluster and marking the turn of the new year together.
Thank you for coming together at Rarangi Beach to celebrate such a fantastic event on such a beautiful morning. The viewing of the Matariki cluster was so clear, allowing the group to reflect and look forward to the new year.
Thanks to our senior students, Maddox and Caris, for opening with a karakia, the Kapa Haka group for leading the waiata, and Martha and Eira for sharing a narrative about Matariki.
Thanks to the staff for the great morning, and for coming back to cooked kai to share.
