Approximately 300 students from across Marlborough came together for a two-hour orienteering challenge — with five teams finding every checkpoint to claim the top score!
Approximately 300 students from across Marlborough came together to plan and take part in a two-hour orienteering event, organised and supported by the Marlborough Orienteering Club. It was a fantastic display of teamwork, strategy, and navigation skills.
Flight plans were discussed and finalised before students headed out onto the course. Two hours later, everyone returned eager to hear how many points they had earned. A big congratulations to the five teams who found every single checkpoint, totalling an impressive 1,230 points!
Well done to all the students who took part from Ward, Seddon, Redwoodtown, Fairhall, Wairau Valley, Te Pā Wānanga, and Renwick schools — a fantastic event for the whole Marlborough region.
