Renwick School riders competed with skill and determination at the Top of the South Y7/8 Mountain Bike Event, with Ollie B taking out the Year 7 XC title.
On Thursday 12 and Friday 13 September, Marlborough hosted up to 80 Year 7/8 mountain bike riders from Nelson, Blenheim, and KaikΕura, competing across XC (cross country) and Enduro events.
It was fantastic to watch such a fit and skilled group of cyclists give everything they had out on the course. As always, it was equally great to see new friendships forming and students sharing their experiences of the challenge along the way.
A big congratulations to Ollie B, who won the Year 7 XC event β an outstanding result! We also want to acknowledge Aidan C, who was awarded a camelback kindly donated by a Marlborough Mountain Bike Club member. Aidan was recognised for his determination, sportsmanship, and respect shown to everyone throughout the event. Well done, Aidan β so well deserved.
