Over 100 Renwick School students headed to Nelson for four days of adventure, culture, and sport — representing their school with talent, respect, and pride.
Just over 100 students, supported by approximately 30 adults, headed to Nelson for two days of camp followed by two days of winter sport tournament.
The group had a great trip over, wrapping up the first day with adventure activities including Laser Tag — which was clearly the crowd favourite! On the second day, students visited the Nelson Museum in the morning and the Suter Art Gallery in the afternoon, making for a wonderful mix of culture and exploration.
Thursday and Friday saw the group represent Renwick School across a huge range of sports — rugby, netball, basketball, volleyball, badminton, table tennis, football, and hockey — competing against other Year 7/8 schools including Intermediates, Prep, and St Paul’s.
Well done to all our students. It is always wonderful to hear how respectful they have been — to one another, to parents, and out in the community. You represented Renwick School beautifully.
A huge thank you to our staff for all the organisation and preparation that went into this trip, including visiting venues beforehand and then providing 24-hour supervision across four full days — no small feat! And a very big thank you to all the parents who gave their time to support the camp. Without that help, experiences like this simply wouldn’t be possible.
